To kick off #PlayClub2020 we’re super excited to be getting stuck into…
Seven Methods of Killing Kylie Jenner by Jasmine-Lee Jones
Jasmine Lee-Jones’s Seven Methods of Killing Kylie Jenner is an incredibly inventive and exciting piece of new writing; blending real-life and online personas to explore the frustration of white women profiting off of black culture and stereotypes. The play deals with the politics of social media and how the potential toxicity of these worlds can harm our closest relationships, all whilst using gifs, memes and emojis as a second language. The play debuted at the Royal Court in 2019 where it received high acclaim before winning Lee-Jones the Critics Circle Theatre Award for Most Promising Playwright.
