Exercise 2: Writing Memories
Task: Write a monologue about a moment from your past
Again, use the tips in the introduction to help you shape and structure your monologue.

What skills does this develop?
Writing about something you are connected to helps you to think about the emotion in your monologue and the story telling element of it.
Top tip:
You don’t need to show this to anyone (unless you want to!) so try to write about something as significant and emotional as possible; this will really help you to think about what can be revealed through a monologue, and get you thinking about the best ways to convey emotion on the page.
